About Grayson

Grayson Kennedy and his brother, Kameron were in a car accident December 14, 2021, and tragically, Grayson did not survive his injuries. Grayson was known for his gregarious, outgoing, and inclusive attitude. He believed that everyone was worthy of love, support, and friendship and this was made apparent to us over and over again through stories, letters, pictures and comments the days that followed his passing. While his family always knew he was a uniquely caring kid, this outpouring of sharing was a lovely and endearing reminder of how special he was.

Grayson cared about people. Whether he was cheering his teammates on in football, baseball, or wrestling; working with kids at Royal Ridges camp; or helping a new teacher at his school feel included and accepted; to walking into class and letting everyone know that they were gonna have a good day and then let them know he loved them. His positive outlook on life and his overall upbeat attitude was infectious. He was big (6’3 at 15) and silly and loud. He had the best smile, and he really just loved everyone.

Grayson will be missed everyday by those who knew him and an unfortunate loss for those who never had a chance to meet him.

About the Fund

His family has searched for ways to continue his legacy of lifting people up, cheering for all those around him and fighting for those who could not do so for themselves.

Thus, the Grayson Kennedy Memorial Fund (GKMF) was created. In 2023 we were able to:

  • Provide a trade scholarship to a Camas High School student
  • Support kids to attend camp with the Young Life Program
  • Present the 2nd annual Character Award in Grayson’s name, at Camas High School
  • Make a donation to the Camas School District Family Community Resource Center
  • Make various donations for youth community programs such as Pop Warner, CCYF, and Camas-Washougal Little League

Ideally, we would love to expand our reach to as many local youth, programs, and community outreach designations as possible!

Many have asked how they can help be a part of Grayson’s continued legacy, and this fund is our answer. All donations will go directly to the GKMF program and financially assist numerous scholarships and donations to our community, in Grayson’s honor.
